This blue and white flower painting is a still life arrangement of white cosmos, roses and daisies in a blue and white ginger jar.

I tired to capture the joyful yet transient nature of these beautiful white flowers. I painting this piece with ultramarine blue, cobalt blue, viridian and raw umber.

The composition of the flowers and vase was inspired by Cezanne’s ‘Grand Bouquet’. 1892.
